I am super delighted to announce that on the 8th of March 2024 while celebrating women’s day, we launched Kristiania University College’s AILab 🤖👩🔬👨🔬🥽👩💻🧑💻. The lab has five fabulous women on board, so the 8th of March looked like the perfect day to launch the lab and give a cheer to Women in the field 👩💻👩🔬👷♀️.
We have also welcomed our 1st PhD student.
We have extended an open invite to the event as we believe inclusion is key!
Our message highlights that AI is inclusive as a super tool that could be fitting any field. We, at the AILab, are also inclusive and opening the door to collaboration! As Through researching today, we collaborate for a smarter tomorrow 💡.
The event started with a welcome note, a reminder of the importance of AI research and very kind introduction by our Vice Dean for research Helene Lie Rohr ! ⭐️
Next we we delighted by the presence and support of our Kristiania’s rector Trine Johansen Meza !⭐️
As the lab leader and AI study program director, I took the floor to introduce the lab’s mission, members, and projects! 🎉
We had afterwards 3 fantastic women as Keynote speakers:
Birte Hansen, innovation and industry coordinator at NORA! ⭐️ with a keynote entitled « Congratulations » 🎉 She shared her journey with us as she always wondered « where are the women »?
Ira Hebold Haraldsen, Prof of neurology at Oslo University Hospital and Leader of coHR group. ⭐️Her keynote « My journey and story of success shall become our story of success » was inspirational and insightful! We have enjoyed every moment of it.
Barbara Rebecca Mutonyi (PhD) , associate professor at Kristiania. ⭐️ Her keynote « Include me too, Will you? » was the perfect ending with mind challenging questions all the way. We loved it!
